Updates for Our Final Few Weeks at Harmony Yoga

We are heading into the last few weeks of Harmony Yoga. This is mind-boggling to me!  If you missed the news earlier, the short story is that my husband is retiring at the end of this school year, and we are moving to Longmont, Colorado later this summer.  While we are both sad to be leaving our communities in Ann Arbor (including all of you who’ve been such an amazing part of Harmony Yoga) we are also excited at the prospect of doing something completely new with our lives. Please read our latest Harmony Yoga Newsletter for updates, including our new fee structure.  I hope to see you...

My husband is retiring at the end of this school year, and we have decided to move to Colorado, possibly as early as mid-July, and probably no later than the end of August. What does this mean for the studio? “Harmony Yoga” will not continue, but there is the possibility that someone will be able to take over the lease.  If this happens, a new business will be created, and the other teachers you are familiar with (Iyengar Yoga teachers Pam, Susan, Marly, and the Feldenkrais teacher, Dale Jensen), will hopefully continue to offer...

Second Annual International Day of Yoga – June 2, 2016

June 21 marks the second annual International Day of Yoga as designated by the United Nations. I encourage you to celebrate by setting aside time to practice on that day, and also committing to your own continuing regular home practice. Your practice can be short if you don’t already have a regular yoga practice.   I’d suggest the following simple sequence to begin, and add more if you are so inclined: Cross-legged seated pose (Sukhasana) Stretch arms (Baddhanguliasana) Your choice of seated twists Downward Facing Dog Pose (Adho Mukha Svanasana) Triangle Pose (Utthita...
